Already in 2024 we have participated in several local transportation planning meetings, uncovering interesting opportunities.

There are new street designs upcoming in Prescott that offer potential for improved access for bicyclists and pedestrians.

We are also quite concerned about a proposed pedestrian bridge over the intersection of Iron Springs and Willow Creek roads to be paid with a congessional earmark. We have contacted transportation officials as well as Senator Mark Kelly to offer our assistance in shifting that funding into a more effective, at-grade design of the intersection so that cyclists and walkers can safely cross in all directions and will not be forced to ascend a high bridge.

We are also watching initiatives concerning the redesign of Prescott's rodeo grounds for opportunities to include better access for cyclists and pedestrians.

May is Bike Month, so look for us at bicycle events, especially the Ride to Work with the Mayor on Friday May 17th.

We're actively seeking new volunteers to help us attend transportation meetings and spread the word about bicycling and walking for transporation in Prescott. Please contact us if you would like to help.
